Walking Reykjavik

Iceland has been on my travel list for a few years now, but it was always one of those desinations that seems impossible. I mean, ICELAND? As in that island we always notice on maps roughly halfway between Greenland and Norway?

But then I started researching airfare, and lots of travel websites and blogs started referencing Icelandair, with a twist. TAPIF Year Travel Destinations

When I first studied abroad in Montpellier, I wrote a list of places that I wanted to visit while I was in France. After a very short period of time, the list looked like me listing every country in Europe. Well. I can’t do that in one year abroad- without totally blowing my bank account- so I had to narrow it down. Berlin has been my #1 European travel destination for a while now! As a history buff, there’s so much to see in Berlin: Checkpoint Charlie, various WW2/Holocaust museums, the Reichstag, etc. I’d love to visit and be able to explore a major world capital that was once behind the Iron Curtain. (Read about my trip to Berlin here.)
